Phase 1 of the new centre begins
We are now moving forward with the first phase of the planned building works with the development of the Day Centre on the ground floor, and the related facilities. The clearance, stripping out and partial demolitions are now underway.
Song: “A child is crying”
We have recorded a song called “A Child is Crying, Do You Care?” that is now available to download from our website, iTunes, Amazon and other online stores, and on CD to order by post (£2 each or three for £5), and then as a DVD from end October. It is also available to watch on video
The words and tune for this song were inspired by the Holy Spirit The song is sung by Ali Webb, who also put the music to the tune. All the money made from the sale of this song will be used towards building the new centre.
We believe God wants to use this song to touch the hearts and mind of people, so that they can hear a little of what it is like to be a child in despair and will want to do something to change the way that sexual abuse is addressed.
Campaign Booklet
A 16 page booklet has been produced which summarises the issues around the scale and impact of child sexual abuse, and what we are doing at Transformation Powerhouse, with GodŐs help.
First Staff
Dianah is one of the charity trustees and also the Chief Executive of Transformation Powerhouse Services Ltd, our associated social enterprise. Dianah has worked with us voluntarily for the last five years.
In 2001, whilst praying, the Holy Spirit told Gee that Dianah was to oversee the ministry. At the time we did not understand how this would be possible as she was travelling all over the world as a Training and Management Consultant with Kodak. When it was mentioned to Dianah that she would be working with Transformation one day she said “I know, God has told me”. She has been obedient and faithful to the call and we know that God has prepared and equipped her with all she will need. Her husband, Lee, has also been a rock, and they have supported the ministry with finance when it was needed most.
